Icthyosis vulgaris chronic management


Male of 24 years old, know in the dermatology service since 10 years ago for presenting Ichthyosis. The patient starts presenting symptoms at the fifth month of birth, the mother brings the patient to the hospital and then he is referred to the pediatric dermatologist whom made the diagnostic of Ichthyosis vulgaris. He has been healthy using topical creams, emollients oils daily and some times antihistamines. We explain every time that he comes to the consult that he must avoid sun exposure, using hat and long sleeve. What treatments are recommended for this genodermatosis?
