Atypical herpes simplex
26 yo female with history of repeated flare up since 2011. PT said this rash shows up without warning and she notices it every time she has a heavy amount of stress in her life. It first appeared in 2011 while TTC. She describes it as appearing like day 1 tiny bites in a cluster/some itching and flushed looking. Day 2-3 swollen, severe itching and burning/pain day 3-5 moderate itching, pain and the swollen/puffy rash turns into a scabby, pimple like appearance. PT is reporting her #sciatica pain at 6 and is disturbing sleep and #Activities-of-daily-living. What you are seeing is day 3-5.
