So.....this is a repeat #Thyroidectomy?
I think he's identifying the recurrent laryngeal nerve.
Where is the recurrent laryngeal in this image? I'm having some trouble identifying it.
That darn annoying thyroid just keeps growing back!
Can you give more background history? Modules hot or cold? My boyfriend just found out he had 5 modules. Thanks
Nodules can be benign in most cases, was there suggestion of biopsy?
No, but they want him to do a reuptake test.
the recurrent laryngeal nerve is not obvious clearly in the scene , I think he should be very careful because he is near Berry Ligament and very close to the nerve. Either identify it or stay too close to the thyroid capsule.
Yes. Agree with you. Because in 2nd thyroidectomy surgery there's no landmark again. And always beware about anatomic variations of the laryngeus recurrent nerve
How long a 1st thyroidectomy utill a recurrent? And it's a same lobe or the other lobe? What kind of operation you choose for this 2nd operation? A total lobectomy or subtotal thyroidectomy? Thanks
