Possible osteomyelitis and MRSA in a non-compliant diabetic
Neighbors called to have patient checked on, EMTs said they could smell this outside of the house. Hx of DM, psoriasis, HTN, noncompliance with diet and medication. Apparently neither the patient or family found anything wrong with this until EMT's were sent. Ortho surgeon was able to penetrate leg to bone with finger in at least one spot. Refusing amputation at this point. Dx to this point include MRSA and osteomyelitis. Probably one of the worst sets of legs I've seen in person up to this point.
