Harvesting the fibula to be the new mandible
Harvesting the fibula and skin flap. This is the "clean" or non-cancerous part, and the neck dissection is the "dirty" section. Two separate surgical fields exist in the room. It's a bit chaotic. But this fibula becomes the new mandible, and the skin becomes the neck. Ones I've seen are between 10 and 15 hours long.
