Kawasaki disease (KD) is an acute vasculitis affecting small to medium-sized vessels. The condition is characterized by features of systemic inflammation with mucocutaneous involvement. It most commonly presents with fever, conjunctivitis, oral changes, a polymorphous rash, and peripheral extremity changes. KD can lead to cardiac complications, such as coronary artery aneurysms and arrhythmias.
