Avalon catheter in patient testing positive for #H1N1-swine-influenza requiring intubation after increasing SOB and respiratory failure. He was placed on VV-ECMO emergently.

This 44 year-old male (see connected case) was started on Levofloxacin, Doxycycline and Tamiflu (Oseltamivir). However, his fever persisted and dyspnea worsened, and was transferred to the MICU. His blood pressure dropped to 84/50 mmHg after intubation, and vasopressors were given via CVC (central venous catheter). A 12-lead ECG revealed sinus tachycardia and the CXR obtained 2 days later (attached) revealed diffuse infiltrations over both lungs. HBsAg and anti-HCV were negative. The abdominal echo showed no lesions of the liver, gallbladder or biliary tract. Coronary angiography (performed due to elevated cardiac enzymes) did not show coronary artery thrombosis. Lumbar puncture showed no evidence of central nervous system infection. PCWP was 16 mmHg. A dx. was made of pneumonia, septic shock, ARDS and myocarditis. Two days later, lab results came back negative for dengue fever, Q fever, scrub typhus, Rickettsia, but was positive for influenza B. What is the next step in the management of this pt.?

Has anyone else seen this on these rapid flu tests? These tests were done on a patient with influenza like symptoms. She was also positive for COVID. The weird part is the first rapid flu test showed an extra line outside the parameter. It was repeated and the same thing happened with another test, just not as defined. Lot number of tests was verified and no one else using these tests had abnormal or erroneous readings. The controls were used on the same lot number tests and verified appropriate results. Has anyone else seen this or knows what it means?!?!

39 y.o female came to our ED with dyspnea and 1 week cough and brown sputum. Vital sign were good except RR 34/min, crackles were heard at all chest auscultation, especially at lower lobes D/S. 3 days after admission at our ICU, pt became fell onto unconscious condition and had breathing and airway problems. Intubation was being carried out but cardiac arrest appeared. After ROSC, we decides to refer this pt to referral hospital for AI suspected pt. 1st X-ray was taken at ED, 2nd X-ray taken at our ICU 3 days after admission, both were CITO bed taken.
